Puro-Kleen® Ultra-Guard is a fine fiber biological aquatic filter media, designed to capture debris as small as 5 microns in size.  Ultra-Guard media is 1" thick and is semi-rigid, allowing it to withstand more vigorous cleaning when required.  Like Puro-Kleen® Kleen-Guard, Puro-Kleen® Ultra-Guard is engineered with a graduated density structure, offering a significantly increased flow rate to that of so-called "bonded" medias.  Like all Puro-Kleen medias, Ultra-Guard contains no added chemicals or ant-microbial agents which can harm aquatic life.
